Seattle 5-24-13

We slept in and returned the car then Enterprise dropped us off at Pikes Place. This time it was actually open. Most of the vendors will pack and ship your seafood but we only bought some cheese from Beecher’s Handmade Cheese

The very 1st Starbucks.

Anne ate at Pike Place Chowder. I had a cheese and potato piroshky at Piroshky Piroshky.

After lunch we went down to the docks to catch a ferry to Bainbridge Island.

Bainbridge Island is a 30 minute ferry ride away from down town. We wanted to go to the Bloedel Reserve but after a failed bus ride we found out it closes at 4pm and it was already 330pm. We walked around the island and shared a late lunch. Then we got back on the ferry to get back to the mainland.

The best part about the trip to Bainbridge Island was the ferry ride back. I got these photos of the downtown skyline.

We meet up with some friends at the ferry terminal and went to dinner along the docks. Then our friends drove us around Seattle so I could shoot some night pictures. 1st stop was Alki bBach it has a great view of downtown.

After Alki Beach we drove around and found a bridge that overlooks downtown. It was located near the old Amazon headquarters.

After a quick nap we had to get up and head to the airport to catch out 6am flight. Good bye Seattle.
