After sleeping 12 hours I wake up and look outside, another cloudless sky. I fire up my computer and check the Laguna Beach cam and to my surprise I see clouds. I geared up and head to Woods cove. Yesterday it was 79 degrees at the beach, today it is only 63. The colder temperature means less people and less traffic. Woods cove is my new favorite beach, it is a good size and has lots of cool rock formations. The shooting conditions were difficult. The bright sky and black back lite rocks were too much for my old 40d to handle. The tide was high and the waves were strong. I got soaking wet for this 1st picture I had to go into the water to climb up a rock to set up my tripod. I took a lot of pictures but did not come away with many keepers but I had a lot of fun getting in the water to shoot. I could really have benefited from a newer camera with a better dynamic range.
