Newport Dunes Fireworks

Happy 4th of July! This year I went to Newport Beach, CA to watch the fireworks. The show was at the Newport Dunes club and it is located in the Newport Back Bay. I did not want to pay $20 a person to go and sit on the sand so I sat up in the Newport Back Bay Park. Parking is difficult here. You can park at the Dunes for $80 a car or you can park far away and walk in, there is not any close street parking. I was luck and had a prime parking spot that was free. Get there at least 1 hour early to get a front row seat and bring a flash light. We sat on the dirt on the cliffs above the Back Bay and had a nice view of all of Orange County. In the photo you can see other fireworks on the horizon. Every where you looked you could see fireworks going off all over Orange County. The fireworks show at the Newport Dunes was average nothing too spectacular but being able to see the shows in other parks of the OC was neat. Full set here Newport Dunes Fireworks 7-4-13
